Launched in September of 2000, the Malini Murjani collection is a brilliant reflection of the designer's lifestyle; a constant osmosis from one culture to another. An ode to her vast, exotic journeys, the collection is composed of sensual skins, jeweled buckles, exotic stonres and edgy metals; elements that look like once belonged to a storied sanctuary, an ornate mechanics shop or perhaps an antique crockery store on a long forgotten Parisian lane. The timeless handbags, some of which bespoke, undergo a hand crafted process that takes them across the globe from Italy to New York. No detail is seen as too small as each is given the utmost attention and just treated with the same delicacy as with a rare piece of art. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, Malini's creations revoke a distinct sense of style and panache. Her discerning eye and enviable creative genius combine to create exquisitely detailed collections season after season.
