VandM.com, well known among design savvy insiders for its selection of unique home decor and support of the design trade, is proud to announce that they have partnered with Designs 4 Dignity, a Chicago-based charity that believes in healing through design.
The inaugural D4D event will be held Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Tai Ping Carpets (near Union Square at 17th) from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. They will have wine, hors d’oeuvres, and a raffle that includes jewelry, sporting event tickets, and items from Kravet, Ligne Roset, and Roche Robois, with all proceeds benefitting D4D.
“Designs 4 Dignity is very excited to launch a chapter in New York City with VandM as a partner,” said Jennifer Flanders, Chair of the NYC Chapter. “It will open up so many doors for new opportunities to do what we are passionate about with amazing NYC-based nonprofits.”
D4D’s mission is to engage the Design Community to create environments that will have a positive and transformative impact on those in need, who could benefit from good design but do not have access to it.
“We are honored to be partnered with Designs 4 Dignity to help welcome them to NYC,” said Talis Lin, VP, Marketing at VandM. “Design is often an afterthought with marginalized and at-risk populations and we’re proud that we can assist in this area.”
Tickets are available now, $65 in advance and $75 at the door, which can be purchased online at designsfordignity.org.
Also, stay tuned as we’ll be announcing some exciting activities between Designs 4 Dignity and VandM in the coming months.
