Last night, September 8, 2010 Rachel Wilkie and Ezra Mabengeza with co-producers Stacey Howard and Katie Haywood Gray threw NO!R: The Embrace, A New York Experience.  It was a special evening of art, fashion, film and music, to kick-off New York fashion week.  NO!R was an evening celebrating emerging artists. It was an opportunity to offer them a portal for their unedited expression, bridging the artist with the industry.

The theme of the U.S. premier of NO!R is “The Embrace,” which lenses a shadow world, a world of darkness illuminated only by each artist’s pursuit of their own understanding and truth. “The Embrace” provides the context for the many perspectives on what is normally concealed, our subterranean impulses, our intangible wants, to be unveiled minus caution last night at NO!R.

The evening was hosted by Ico Gallery in New Yorks gallery district in Chelsea.
