New York’s R 20th Century gallery and Turpan, a boutique with outposts in Los Angeles and East Hampton, New York, are joining forces to launch the R/Turpan. Working jointly, Greg and Katherine Turpan and R 20th Century’s Zesty Meyers and Evan Snyderman identified a growing local demand for high-end design and curated art narratives for the glamorous summer hotspot’s long-established bounty of world-class architecture and interiors. Located at 14 Main Street in East Hampton, the gallery’s splendors will include vintage and contemporary art and design alongside the jewelry, furnishings, and home accessories that Turpan is known for. During an opening celebration on Saturday, June 26, visitors will spot gems from Artek, Judy Hudson, Arne Jacobsen, and Fontana Arte, among others. The gallery is open by appointment year round and will present exhibitions, vignettes, open houses, gallery talks, and exclusive events. As if we needed another excuse to hop on the Jitney.
